"Do one thing every day that scares you."
- Eleanor Roosevelt
Today I went to a cemetery on my own and walked through it.
Today I skipped my first class of the semester.
Today I did nothing but tan and sleep all day.
Today I flicked someone off and said fuck you (he deserved it).
Today I ran more than I ever thought I could.
Today I ventured to a new restaurant, not scary but different. I suppose that counts.
Today I wen to a Spanish bar and had the best time.
Today I performed a speech in front of my class.
Today I bought two pairs of shorts without thinking about the cost.
Today I...
To be continued daily.
I suggest you do the same :)
And... Lets not be like them...

Topshop
I guess one thing I can leave you with right now is to get on your computer (assuming you already are.. or maybe not if you are borrowing a friends or perhaps in the library, but still in the library you could be using your own but this is all besides the point). So get on any computer, go to http://www.topshop.com, and buy me lots of things.. Oops I mean buy yourself things! Basically the best store you will ever know. You have probably already heard of it, but it is quite amazing. A little on the pricey side, but worth it. I have experienced this store in NY and London, both times loved it. Need one in California now.

Spring Break
The Itch that Tickled my Nose...
Anyways this blog is not really about the tickle in my nose, it is about my little Katie Massey because she is the most beautifully amazing person I have ever met. Let me tell you a little something about how we met. It was love at first sight when I surprised her as my Hannah Pal. I mean who couldn't love me after the fabulous gifts I had made? And who couldn't love her with that adorable smile and phenomenal hug. Too lesbian? I think not. Then we basically internet dated for a while and had the best conversations of my life! I don't know why it took us so long to hang out. Katie? Anyways from then on we were soul mates and we made it offish as big and little! The one thing we have left to do is go to Disneyland together..... Katie? I will be flying in to LAX June 4 at 8:30pm then straight to Disney... You in?! :) Love and miss you to the moon and back!

YOOOOOO dog
Basically she asked me questions about my amazing blog and I answered.
Why did you start to blog?
I originally started it over the summer just for fun to blog about my hilarious life and how funny I am. Of course never actually got around around to posting (obviously I have better things to do with my time), and finally started when I got to Italy.
What inspires you to blog?
It's kind of like my diary, only I am sharing all my experiences with others, which is pretty cool. I like being able to say whatever I want and not care who reads it. I am an open book. Hopefully one day I will be discovered because of how amazing I am! I also hope it won't come back to me one day when I am trying to get a job. Haha.
What do you generally blog about?
Italy. Interesting enough? I think so. It basically consists of random stories or funny things I want to share. If you think about it a blog is a pretty self absorbed thing. Its all about me, me, me. Do I mind? No.
How would you describe your blog?
It has a little bit of everything. Mostly I write about Italy, what I have done and seen etc. I also have ones about fashion, food, and just random things I feel like saying. Look out for my blog on cheese, coming soon.
Who reads your blog?
Hmm well I am pretty sure my only religious reader is my mother, but I do seem to have quite a few page views so maybe I am even more popular than I think?
Why do you think blogging is on the rise?
I think it is a way for people to express themselves. There are a lot of cool interesting people out there that I will never know, but maybe by chance if I have read their blog I will feel like I know them in some small way. It's a way to put yourself out there and let the rest take its course. Who knows, anything could happen right?
What blog outlet do you use? (Do you use tumblr, wordpress, etc?) Why?
I use blogspot. I originally started out with wordpress, but lets face it, I want to be a comedian not a computer genius. I decided to switch to blogspot, which was much simpler for my challenged computer brain.
What other social networks (facebook, twitter) do you use and why?
I use facebook to keep in touch with my friends and family. I was addicted to facebook for a long time and it just wasted so much time. Being abroad it has a different use. It is a way for me to keep updated on life at home. Psh twitter? Started an account, made a status, and haven't looked at it since. People still follow me and I don't get why. If you want my opinion (I know you do) all of these random technologies are ruining the human race and our ability communicate in person. So how about next time you go on your computer and read my blog. I guarantee it will be the best thing you did all day. :)
Spanks Ari, I ruv you!
Haven’t written in a while. I guess I have been too busy stumbling.
I guess I should tell you about Carnivale in Venezia!
It was an amazing day. The three hour ride there and back wasn’t the best, but hey at least we watched Half Baked and American Beauty; two fucked up movies about getting high.
I absolutely loved being back in Venice. It made me so happy remembering all the places that my mom, Katerina and I had been three years before. It was extremely crowded which I did not like, but it was cool to see people dressed up in amazing costumes from way back when and San Marco Square was transformed into a huge stage and an area for people to dance and parade around.
We walked around the countless small streets that seemed to be never ending each one with its own unique charm, until we would make it back to the square. Then we would start again but a different route this time.
I ate a huge doughnut ball and a square pastry filled with cream. Both fabulous.
We went on a night gondola ride, which let us see the true beauty and charm of the city without all the people, noise, and light.
We got lost multiple times and were afraid we weren’t going to make it back to the bus on time.
We all bought gorgeous masks. I searched for mine all day, couldn’t bear to by an expensive one (the only ones I liked) and finally at the end of the I found a huge white and rustic gold mask that’s was exactly what I had been looking for. It is a perfect opposite to my black and Swarovski crystal mask that I already have at home from three years ago.
Now that I have been to Venice a second time, my feelings of it are so much stronger. A city built on water is unique in itself, but then add the history, the charm, the friendly Italians, and the magic and you’ve got yourself your very own wonderland.
We got back to Florence at 1:30am and then proceeded to go out to Space. It reminded me of Space Mountain in Disneyland. Becky agreed so just take our word for it. Then went to Full Up. Back home by 6:30am. Frying up a grilled cheese by 6:40am and passed out by 7am. Details do not need to be included, but its safe to say that we probably shouldn’t have rallied seeing that we had to get up for the soccer game the next day.
Stadium and concessions sucked at the game, but watching the game was really awesome. I forgot how much I loved to watch them. We won of course.
This week has been a blur since Monday because every class we just talk about our midterm next week. I basically have all the answers to all my midterms, now the problem is to study the material. Easier said than done, especially while in Italy.
I did go to an amazing church on Tuesday morning, San Lorenzo. It was different from any church that I have seen in Florence because it was built during the Renaissance period. Instead of the church being really dark and gothic, it was extremely open and bright. Such a nice change and it made me feel so happy and the garden in the center was the cherry on top! Totally worth tre euro e cinquanta. In my night class we watched Food Inc. Bad idea. I have seen it before and every time I watch it I tell myself I am going to be a vegetarian because of all the awful things they do to animals. I literally cry probably five times whenever I watch it. Of course I have sitting in my fridge right now hot dogs AND salami. I mean I can’t let good food go to waste right? Ugh life can be so hard sometimes.
Today in Body Language we did some pretty weird exercises. One of them you lay on the ground and open up your shoulders and lengthen your arms. By the end both arms are the same length, which is pretty legit since no ones arms are ever really the same length. We did a lot of acting today and pretending to be characters, which was really fun.
Now since its basically the weekend (Italian doesn’t count tomorrow) I am going to watch more shows and eat the three different kinds of candy that are sitting in front of me as we speak.

Ramblings
Anyways Tuesday night was epic. Didn't leave until super late. That's how we roll these days. Went to a Jazz cafe, which was awesome. The music was fabulous and I loved just sitting there letting the beats consume me. Then we left for quite the opposite environment, Twice. Not our go to place, but it was in "our schedule". We met up with Morgan and she came with us. Then we randomly saw an old friend from high school. Then we met new friends from all over the world etc etc. Just a typical night in Florence. So of course the drinks were numerous, the dances we ongoing, and the fun was addicting. I had a yager (jager?) bomb for the first time, which was better than I thought! By this time the night was just getting ridiculous and by that I mean hilarious. Morgan has shin splints so she couldn't walk and Usher had to carry her. We met a man in a kimono who had no sense of humor. He was from New York and Kelsey goes, "we are practically related". All he said was... "not really". Douche. His name was also Stefano and I said we basically had the same name but different forms. What did I get? "Not really". Finally we walk home and guess who is waiting for us, Usher. We go to a secret bakery and actually walk inside the kitchen! It was so cool to see the dough mixing at 5am. We got mushroom turnovers and caprese sandwiches! SO YUMMY. Finally back home at 6am. You know, the usual.
The next day I went on this amazing adventure. First I was at the beach. Put my feet in the ocean then walked along the sand. Then I found myself at a forest and decides to walk through it. There were branches and trees everywhere I could barely get around! Once I got through that I stumbled upon a mountain. It was getting dark by now so I decided I better climb it. Once I was at the top I saw the sunset, which was was beautiful. Eventually I had to climb down, which was super scary and when I reached the bottom I was right next to a river. I crossed the river and at last found a remote town. No idea where I was, but what a journey I had.
You must think I am crazy to do all of this in one day... Try in five minutes. This was an exercise we had to do in my body language class. We put on the neutral mask and act out the journey I just described to you. It was quite a scary experience. Once again you are suppose to strip yourself and just be in the present, but for some reason I was not able to completely do that. The mask scared me and not to mention it was really hard to breathe while doing all those strenuous activities. I felt really emotional after I did it, but also so empowered because never in my life would I have dreamed that I would do something like that. I still have a long way to go to be neutral, but I am on my way.
Tomorrow is Venice Carnivale! Have to wake up early so I shall end here instead of going on with my meaningless ramblings. But wait, is anything I ever say meaningless?
