Haven't gone out for three nights.. it's a weird sensation not being out when we should be. If we don't go out we stay in, sit in our beds, and are on our computers all night. Now which seems better to you? Ehhh... debatable.
Anyways Tuesday night was epic. Didn't leave until super late. That's how we roll these days. Went to a Jazz cafe, which was awesome. The music was fabulous and I loved just sitting there letting the beats consume me. Then we left for quite the opposite environment, Twice. Not our go to place, but it was in "our schedule". We met up with Morgan and she came with us. Then we randomly saw an old friend from high school. Then we met new friends from all over the world etc etc. Just a typical night in Florence. So of course the drinks were numerous, the dances we ongoing, and the fun was addicting. I had a yager (jager?) bomb for the first time, which was better than I thought! By this time the night was just getting ridiculous and by that I mean hilarious. Morgan has shin splints so she couldn't walk and Usher had to carry her. We met a man in a kimono who had no sense of humor. He was from New York and Kelsey goes, "we are practically related". All he said was... "not really". Douche. His name was also Stefano and I said we basically had the same name but different forms. What did I get? "Not really". Finally we walk home and guess who is waiting for us, Usher. We go to a secret bakery and actually walk inside the kitchen! It was so cool to see the dough mixing at 5am. We got mushroom turnovers and caprese sandwiches! SO YUMMY. Finally back home at 6am. You know, the usual.
The next day I went on this amazing adventure. First I was at the beach. Put my feet in the ocean then walked along the sand. Then I found myself at a forest and decides to walk through it. There were branches and trees everywhere I could barely get around! Once I got through that I stumbled upon a mountain. It was getting dark by now so I decided I better climb it. Once I was at the top I saw the sunset, which was was beautiful. Eventually I had to climb down, which was super scary and when I reached the bottom I was right next to a river. I crossed the river and at last found a remote town. No idea where I was, but what a journey I had.
You must think I am crazy to do all of this in one day... Try in five minutes. This was an exercise we had to do in my body language class. We put on the neutral mask and act out the journey I just described to you. It was quite a scary experience. Once again you are suppose to strip yourself and just be in the present, but for some reason I was not able to completely do that. The mask scared me and not to mention it was really hard to breathe while doing all those strenuous activities. I felt really emotional after I did it, but also so empowered because never in my life would I have dreamed that I would do something like that. I still have a long way to go to be neutral, but I am on my way.
Tomorrow is Venice Carnivale! Have to wake up early so I shall end here instead of going on with my meaningless ramblings. But wait, is anything I ever say meaningless?
