Bullies

Everyone had that bully that picked on them in grade school. Mine happened to be this exceptionally tall girl for her age named Nina. She was much larger than I was that is until I became a short round butterball a couple years later, but that's besides the point. One time at daycare after school she pushed me to the ground and spit on me. She told me not to tell, but of course I went crying to the teacher and since Nina was a regular bully she was kicked out of the small private Catholic school shortly there after. Now don't worry it wasn't just because of me, she also had many previous transgressions. With Nina gone I decided to take on the role of bully. Why? I couldn't tell you. My victim ended up being this meek little Asian girl also named Stephanie. Perhaps it was because she had my name. Or maybe it was because she was Asian. Either way I tormented her. One day during recess I pushed her up against the wall of the nuns house, grabbed her peter pan collared shirt, scrunched it up in my hand and threatened to kill her. Harsh for a second grader, I know, but I had a lot of anger issues probably because I wasn't a twig like the other pretty blonde girls and had to wear a uniformed dress to school everyday instead of the navy blue pants and shorts that all the other boys and girls got to wear. Thinking back those pants were super tacky and the checkered jumper I wore made me look like a rock star. Suckers. Anyways back to the story. After I threatened Stephanie I then made her play with me at daycare and she complied without hesitation. We had a lot of fun together during those times. Now lucky for me Stephanie never told on me and she ended up leaving the school without a peep. I never did get to say bye. God I sure hope she's doing all right because I definitely sleep well at night.

Tangerine Tango

Much like leaves changing to a beautiful hue of orange come Fall, it also happens to be the color for this season that has gracefully fallen upon us. The fancy name for it is "tangerine tango". Here are a few examples whether you're wearing, holding, or looking at the bold color that seems to have beaten out all the rest.

FAVORITE EATS AND DRINKS

Currently I have been eating the most delicious food in San Francisco imaginable and I thought I would share...

Amazing drinks made by my friend Melina at Blowfish Sushi. You tell her what you like and you get heaven in your face.
Breakfast at Brunch Drunk Love. I mean could it look any better? (Aside from the photo quality of course)
Shanghai Dumpling King.. Everyone MUST go at least once in their lives to taste this deliciousness.
Blowfish. Again. Duh. GO.
Mochas are the new drink of choice. If you want to get crafty try a mexican mocha. Its like candy in your mouth.

LIGHTS

Christmas time is all about pretty lights and I can't get enough of them!

Our amazing midget of a tree.. Stay tuned for a post with our added nativity scene.
Candy cane lane! Enough said.
The best light show of all... It's a Small World. The beauty is blinding. Literally. Like so bright.

SAN FRANCISCO

My favorite city. My home. My light at the end of the tunnel. Whenever I come home to you it feels right.

(See what I did there? Kind of sounds like a beautiful poem right... Maybe not. ANYWAYS here are a few snapshots I just had to share)

AND I'M BACK!

My little sister and I went for a gorgeous walk today in San Francisco right by the Marina outside the Palace of Fine Arts. It was a chilly day, but the sun was shining so we thought it was a good idea to have a little photo shoot. I had to document my new beanie that I am obsessing over and can't stop wearing. They really do keep your head warm!

Notice the difference in how Katerina and I posed.. Or lack thereof in Katerina's case. Each one a unique pose...

"The smile"
"The shoez"
"The chicken"
"Get low"
"The far away" ?
"The bird"
"The thinker"
"Rawr"
"The tree climb"
"The inquisitive one"

Bleh

Totally lagging in my posts recently. I guess I have been busy? Although I don't even know what I do to fill up my time. Its probably something like internship, school, homework, practice the banjo, watch shows, eat, shop, and rage. Repeat. Yep I guess that pretty much takes up all my time. I shall try to fit in a little for blog posting, pinterest updating, fb stalking, twitter posting, etc. Sheesh can't remember the last time I actually had a person to person conversation. I'm sitting next to Katie in class. I guess maybe I should try and say hi instead of iming her....
