Bullies
Everyone had that bully that picked on them in grade school. Mine happened to be this exceptionally tall girl for her age named Nina. She was much larger than I was that is until I became a short round butterball a couple years later, but that's besides the point. One time at daycare after school she pushed me to the ground and spit on me. She told me not to tell, but of course I went crying to the teacher and since Nina was a regular bully she was kicked out of the small private Catholic school shortly there after. Now don't worry it wasn't just because of me, she also had many previous transgressions. With Nina gone I decided to take on the role of bully. Why? I couldn't tell you. My victim ended up being this meek little Asian girl also named Stephanie. Perhaps it was because she had my name. Or maybe it was because she was Asian. Either way I tormented her. One day during recess I pushed her up against the wall of the nuns house, grabbed her peter pan collared shirt, scrunched it up in my hand and threatened to kill her. Harsh for a second grader, I know, but I had a lot of anger issues probably because I wasn't a twig like the other pretty blonde girls and had to wear a uniformed dress to school everyday instead of the navy blue pants and shorts that all the other boys and girls got to wear. Thinking back those pants were super tacky and the checkered jumper I wore made me look like a rock star. Suckers. Anyways back to the story. After I threatened Stephanie I then made her play with me at daycare and she complied without hesitation. We had a lot of fun together during those times. Now lucky for me Stephanie never told on me and she ended up leaving the school without a peep. I never did get to say bye. God I sure hope she's doing all right because I definitely sleep well at night.
