Just cried walking down Via dei Calzaiuoli. I guess it didn't help that I was listening to Blackbird, Glee rendition of course. This street is my absolute favorite because it leads me to absolutely everything I could ever want in Florence. You can walk straight down and hit Palazzo Vecchio and the Ponte Vecchio which means shopping along the way and amazing gelato over the bridge. It also takes you to Piazza Repubblica, my favorite place in Florence to people watch, read, or just bask in the sun. And of course it runs right next to the Duomo, which is the most magnificent piece of architecture in all of Florence. As it happens it is also my next door neighbor. Could I ask for anything more?
