Bought leather sandals today! And allergy medicine.. Both excellent purchases.
Other than that we walked around Athens for hours. We saw every inch of Plaka (a huge flea market with tons of specialty shops and just cute trinket stores in general). We saw the Parliament building with the changing of the guards in front. Its not typically what you would see in London, its better. The guards in Greece where these shoes with huge balls on top of them that bob up and down as they do their incredibly straight sturdy march from post to post. We also saw Monastiraki square with amazing vibrant fruit stands, fresh grilled corn, among other delicacies known to Athens.
A very successful day if I do say so myself! The heat was marvelous and of course I got more color, which is always a plus.
On to the ruins tomorrow!
