Crop Top Chic

Tis the season of crop tops! Pull out your best pint sized shirts and pair them with flowy high waisted skirts or denim cut off shorts. Best way to spice up your outfits when it's super hot outside.

In a Wedding Daze.

I can't help but think about what my wedding will be like. Already found the perfect person. Now all thats left to do is plan. Never too early to start right?

Words to describe my dream wedding:

Magical
Whimsical
Rustic
Antique
Shabby Chic
Natural
Twinkle-y

Can you imagine a meadow with blooming flowers and gorgeous gold antique chairs filled with guests onlooking at the beautiful couple?

Can you imagine a bard with picnic tables and glowing mason jars surrounding the room?

Can you imagine handmade place cards in delicate handwritten cursive dipped in gold?

Can you imagine a spectacular setting in a forest with a beautiful wood dance floor with trees overreaching into the stars?

Can you just imagine twinkle-y lights from tree to tree lighting up the night?

I know I can. :)

All that's GOLD.

DUST SOME GOLD IN TO YOUR LIFE.
I don't think I need to tell you about my obsession with anything and everything gold. It honestly just makes everything better. I use to be a silver gal, until I realized just how amazing gold was. Obviously in the real form gold is ridiculously expensive, but who says we need to wear an 18 karat gold necklace? There are plenty of other ways to get your gold fix from gold glitter, gold outfits, faux gold jewelery, to gold makeup. Gold accents add to any outfit, table setting, or even food! You name it and most likely I will want it. Gold is bold. It can be classy as hell but at the same time it adds sex appeal. You pick the way you want to mold your gold.

The South

Being born and raised in California I am well aware and use to avoiding weirdos that try and talk to me. This is how my parents raised me, especially with my dad being a foreigner from Greece where his instinct of protectiveness was in full effect whenever I would want to do anything on my own or with friends. He got this from my grandma because anytime I see her she always tells me without fail, "very careful" in her thick Greek accent. Not sure exactly what it is I am suppose to be very careful with, but I just assume everything, which is why I am a very cautious person by nature. This is why venturing to the south is a struggle for me because everyone is so nice! When an older man came up and decided to strike up a conversation with my girlfriend and I while we were at dinner, three thoughts ran through my mind.

1. Are you a creep and want to have a threesome with my girlfriend and I?
2. Are you planning to abduct me outside the restaurant once I'm finished eating?
3. Sir, I am very upset at you for interrupting my ridiculously delicious meal of salmon chips and brisket. (Yes both at the same time. You would have done it too.)

Little did I know this man was simply being a polite southerner. He was genuinely interested in talking to us, but because of where I was raised and who raised me I was very ready to open up a can of whoop ass on him. He was also with a younger stripper-ish Asian woman. Now this does strike me as a little odd. Maybe I was right after all...

Bowsbowsbows

The best way any girl could accessorize is with simple classy bows. On your feet or in your hair, bows are the cutest way to add to any outfit.

Bullies

Everyone had that bully that picked on them in grade school. Mine happened to be this exceptionally tall girl for her age named Nina. She was much larger than I was that is until I became a short round butterball a couple years later, but that's besides the point. One time at daycare after school she pushed me to the ground and spit on me. She told me not to tell, but of course I went crying to the teacher and since Nina was a regular bully she was kicked out of the small private Catholic school shortly there after. Now don't worry it wasn't just because of me, she also had many previous transgressions. With Nina gone I decided to take on the role of bully. Why? I couldn't tell you. My victim ended up being this meek little Asian girl also named Stephanie. Perhaps it was because she had my name. Or maybe it was because she was Asian. Either way I tormented her. One day during recess I pushed her up against the wall of the nuns house, grabbed her peter pan collared shirt, scrunched it up in my hand and threatened to kill her. Harsh for a second grader, I know, but I had a lot of anger issues probably because I wasn't a twig like the other pretty blonde girls and had to wear a uniformed dress to school everyday instead of the navy blue pants and shorts that all the other boys and girls got to wear. Thinking back those pants were super tacky and the checkered jumper I wore made me look like a rock star. Suckers. Anyways back to the story. After I threatened Stephanie I then made her play with me at daycare and she complied without hesitation. We had a lot of fun together during those times. Now lucky for me Stephanie never told on me and she ended up leaving the school without a peep. I never did get to say bye. God I sure hope she's doing all right because I definitely sleep well at night.
