Fucking Italians do not know the concept of time. I mean is it really appropriate to start sawing and pounding at 8AM??? I don't think so. Disrupting the tenants is definitely a no no. I thought maybe they were just trying to say "hi". You know they knock once and you knock back (or more like a hundred times). I guess that was not the case because I knocked back and then I heard Italian men laughing and talking away like little chatty Kathys. How rude. You see how you like it when I come to your house at 8am on a weekend. Okay but anyways in all seriousness I am so pissed. I NEED my beauty sleep.

Had dinner at 4 Leoni tonight with Katherine, Susan, and Alex! We had such good food and the wine was definitely one of my top favorites seeing as though red wine is not my favorite. We ate yummy salads and cheeses and I ate delicious lasagna. It was very interesting because it was a cream sauce with slices of artichoke throughout. One of the tastiest things I have ever eaten! We talked about the old days, Italy, the new days, and so much more. I love them being here in Italy. It makes me feel a little more at home, since I have known them for probably about ten years now aka half my existence on this earth. Hopefully I will see them this weekend in Cinque Terre!

LF

First stop when I am home... LF. Their new lookbook is to die for. I am very aware a sale will not be going on , but this still will not stop be from buying something. Sure I have bought things in Florence, but our top two somewhat affordable stores here are Zara and H&M. Literally the only two decent stores to shop at. Still, I hate buying things there because I can buy it in the US aka I am spending more money to buy it here, which in my opinion is just silly. But what's a girl to do? Got to keep my wardrobe looking fly. Seeing as I brought nothing with me, none of my cute clothes anyways. Probably for the better though because anything I have that is nice here I am basically ruining aka my Torys. So sad, but glad I have my babies with me. Any whoosers my point of this blog was to give you the link to the LF lookbook so you can see the to die for clothes that I will be wearing soon. Not really because I will be broke by then, but a girl can dream right? ;)

Cascine park
I went for a run today and ran all the way down to Cascine park, probably the prettiest and liveliest place in Florence. I made myself run all the way there without stopping, which is a long ways and a pretty cool accomplishment for me! Obviously I am so out of shape here because I eat delicious food all day and don't work out in a gym, but running outside along the Arno river is so much better than any gym (the Bay Club is debatable). Once you are in the park you are greeted by a ginormous statue of a random man on a horse. Right after there is a huge carnival all along the water. When it was colder the carnival wasn't open, but today it was in full swing. Little kids were in bouncy machines, sitting in sacks and flying down a slide, winning prizes, going on roller coasters that barely move a centimeter a minute, and everyone was having the time of their lives. Then after you find yourself among hundreds of trees and the sun is blocked. It is a calm peaceful place to run through.
Does not even do it justice! I will bring my camera next time when it is super crowded so I can show you what it really looks like.
After you reach miles of beautiful grassy area with people playing volleyball, soccer, tanning, doing cartwheels, and so much more! I literally just stopped and stared at everyone. I wanted to join in on a volleyball game, but I figured that might have been weird. I also wanted to start running around and laughing, but then I thought people might think I was crazy since I was alone. I settled for lying down on the grass for a while and finally mustering up the courage to do one hundred crunches. On the run back there were hundreds of little stands filled with clothes, food, and knick knacks that everyone was had to stop and look at for hours because you actually couldn't move while in there. I finally left that area and ran directly next to the water on the gravel grassy path. It was nice because there was less people, but I was still near all the action. I decided to stop again once outside of the park and I sat on a cement block next to the water. The sun was in my face and it was so beautiful. So happy in the purest form. Finally I ran down Via Tournoboni (street with all the designer stores) and I had to stop at Dolce and Gabbana. The window was magnificent! White lace + gold = the best combination ever. Too bad I can't afford any of it. One day!

Seven Drunken Nights
So if you have ever heard the song, "Seven Drunken Nights" by The Dubliners you would know that it starts out with a drunk man going to the pub every night and he comes home to find strange things in his house. He asks his wife what they are and every night she makes up some excuse of what the thing is ultimately to cover up that she is cheating on him. The song is very clever, you should definitely look it up and listen to it if you aren't already opposed to Irish music altogether. Give it a chance and it is pretty legit music. Moving on with my story... The last 2 verses of the song have been a mystery aka Saturday and Sunday night. They always just end the song after Friday because each time the thing the man finds in his house gets dirtier and dirtier. Upon going to Dublin I came across an Irish music store and I decided to go in and ask the man if he knew the lyrics. Surely everyone in Ireland knows the lyrics by heart right? Apparently not. He couldn't find anything with the last 2 verses recorded on a CD and he searched his computer for the lyrics for a solid 20 minutes. Finally he found them and I got to write them down. my mom has been wanting to know the verses for her whole life so I thought it would be a great surprise if I found them. Of course I did and here are the last 2 verses in case you are at all curious:
And as I went home on a Saturday night as drunk as drunk could be I saw two hands upon her breasts where my old breasts should be.
Well, I called me wife and I said to her will you kindly tell to me who owns them hands upon your breasts where my old breasts should be.
Ah, you're drunk you're drunk you silly old fool still you cannot see that's a lovely nightgown that me mother sent to me.
Well it's many days I travel, one hundred miles or more, but fingers in a nightgown I never saw before.
And as I went home on a Sunday night as drunk as drunk could be, I saw a thing in her thing where my old thing should be.
I called me wife and I said to her will you kindly tell to me, who owns that thing in your thing where my old thing should be.
Ah, you're drunk you're drunk you silly old fool still you cannot see that's a lovely tin whistle that me mother sent to me.
Well it's many days I travel, one hundred miles or more, but hair on a tin whistle sure I never saw before. La da da da da da da da da da da da da da da do do do!
