Saw this at Brandy Melville. Too bad it was $35 and I could make it myself for $5.

Using small spaces to your advantage
It has recently come to my attention that small spaces are cool. I keep finding different itty bitty apartments on the internet that have made the most of a 200 square foot space. I have to say I am 100% digging it. I have learned that neutral colors and lots of decoration is what makes a space look much bigger than it is. Here are a couple examples! Look out for my next post where I will feature my room :)
These two pictures are basically the entire apartment minus the bathroom and kitchen. The decoration and design is so tasteful it kills me. The light delicate colors and the girly additions of ruffles, chandeliers, and throw pillows is simply divine. The overall antique atmosphere of the place is what I love the most. This just goes to show that even if you live in the tiniest space, you have no excuse if your place looks like crap.
This is another super cute apartment. The taste is a little too in your face and modern for me, but it is still very sophisticated. Again, no matter where you live you should always make it as nice as possible so you feel proud of what you come home too. And if there's a sexy man that you added as a decorative piece on your bed... Well that wouldn't be so bad now would it? ;)

Sickness will be the death of me
I am sitting in the library (ew) trying to study but I can't because my nose keeps running (I can't catch it) and I keep having the urge to sneeze. Not to mention I am so utterly exhausted and can't even see straight because my eyes keep watering up. So offensive. Can this day please be over?

Facelifts are for cool kids
Clearly as you can see my blog is under construction. I wish I had a cool holder page that said something like "We are giving ourselves a facelift for your enjoyment. Thank you for your patience." Sadly I cannot pay someone to do this for me so you get to look at all the changes step by step.
Now I need YOUR help!
Stephanie Says was never going to be the permanent name of my blog. Lets be real anything I say is legit so no need to have my blog title explicitly say that.
We have two options:
1. A Sparkly Mess (as shown above)
OR
2. Behold the Gold
I am fond of both options, but leave a comment and let me know what you think!!!
And don't think I wont know if you have read this and haven't commented... I check my pageviews on the reg.

Wine Country Snaps
Favorite snapshots from the wedding!
Rehearsal dinner. Braised rabbit with tagliatelle and pasta bolognese with big tube pasta at Tra Vigne in St. Helena. I highly recommend the restaurant and the town. Such adorable antique simplicity.
My outfit :) Shoes DVF and Dress LF
Eating a lovely breakfast in Calistoga. YUM.
She found a book sale of course.
Tanning in the nude of course. It had to happen. The weather was simply gorgeous! And in natural spring pools?! Beyond fabulous.
Outfit one: Betsey Johnson dress and Sam Edelman shoes
Outfit two: Free People dress, Tory Burch shoes, clutch vintage
Outfit three: I never know what she wears
Katherine and I! Ten years of friendship and still going strong :)
Isn't she gorgeous?
The most beautiful Harry Potter like dining room I have ever been in. The cave like atmosphere combined with the glistening lights and candles and not to mention the gorgeous gold chairs and decor. I died and went to heaven. Don't even get me started on the short ribs we ate.
The sisters doing their best impression of me. I look better obviously.
Mom and I. Me attempting to get as much wine in as possible..
Delicious gluten free wedding cake! It tasted as good as it looks.
The best take home gift possible. Chocolate wrapped in GOLD. Die.
That sums up my amazing weekend in the wine country. Hope everyone else had as much fun as I did. xx

LBD
Every girl should own one. Just ordered one online for Crush Party (sorority event). If you're reading this and don't know what I'm referring to then you should be ashamed. They only had a large so hopefully I'm a fat ass and it will fit. That's the only time you will ever see me utter those words. It is to die for! I will post pics when it arrives. :)
Last years crush party with my LITTLE! One of which I do not remember...
Noelle Ball two years ago. Favorite picture ever. What beauties. Tess you don't have my blog bookmarked so I bet you won't be reading this shout out. Offensive.
Goodnight all xx
Halloween Costume
The question here is how do you one up the slut year after year?
As you can see in these photos we were gypsies and basically naked, but tastefully of course. I am simply not creative enough to come up with something better. Is it acceptable to be a repeat offender on Halloween? In daily life one must never wear the same outfit twice, but I feel as though most people are too drunk to remember most outfits so this would be acceptable.
Open Back
I die for any piece of clothing that has an open back, low back, cut outs, etc. I think showing off your back is one of fashions best kept secrets. Although it's not really a secret anymore considering half the world is in on the trend. Whether it's a sexy evening dress or a cute summery top, a little back exposure is never unwanted. Here are a couple of my favorite pieces!
c/o Urban Outfitters
Top and pants c/o LF Stores
Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

Cupcakes and friendship bracelets
Currently enjoying a vanilla cupcake, making friendship bracelets, and watching the Disneyland fireworks from my front porch.
Perfect Sunday night.
Best Place to Study?
In coffee bean attempting to do homework, but I'm doing this instead. My roommates and I decided to come here to do some work. So far it has not been very successful. The annoying music and constant grinding and blending makes it super hard to focus. So then the question remains where should you go to do homework? Home is completely out of the question because my bed is there. Hence I would lay in it and proceed to stuff my face and watch shows. The library is okay, but its kind of depressing. A bunch of hard at work asians in their little cubicles (and Ariel) makes me feel like a lesser human being. So that option is out. Which leads me to believe that the best answer to my question is to not do homework at all...

Tips of the day
Upon reading US Weekly a few questions have been brought to my attention..
The first is to thong or not to thong?
I have gotten such mixed reviews from women lately and Kelly Clarkson wonders why anyone would want to stick something so uncomfortable up their butt. Strictly speaking about thongs here, don't get excited. I definitely agree with Kelly, but sometimes I feel like its a necessity. You can't wear a skin tight dress with boy shorts now can you.
Problem solved: only wear when you have to.
Keep hair long/get bangs?
I am in need of a haircut because my hair is so long and dead, but I really love my length. On the other hand maybe some change would be nice. I also had bangs a few years ago and really liked them. Should I try them out again now that I don't look like I am 5 anymore. I'm 12 now! Ali larter just got a short bob and it looks so sophisticated. What to do!
Problem not solved: Must decide upon consulting my hairdresser but I do know I will be visiting a Drybar one of these days. $40 for an amazing blowout. The perfect way to pamper yourself and look great after. www.thedrybar.com
What to put in your bag?
ABC news wrote an article about how much to keep in your purse because it really does make a difference. Another article I read discussed the ten things to keep on your bag that could save your life. I never really thought about what I keep in my bag and then I saw the "What's in your purse?" article in US and it got me thinking. http://abcnews.go.com/Health/handbag-essentials-save-life/story?id=12816596
Necessities - in no particular order
- good lip balm (Blistex silk&shine) along with a gloss or lipstick - you never know when you might need some color (Chanel Rogue Allure)
- iPod - incase you find yourself somewhere incredibly boring (Mumford and Sons never gets old)
- snacks - maybe its just me but I much throughout the whole day (nuts, candy, tigers milk)
- a good read - I never seem to find time to read but I quite often find myself whipping it out of my bag (currently attempting to start Chelsea Handlers latest novel)
- wallet - lets be real no one can go a day without buying something (just your credit card would be acceptable)
- iPhone - again lets be real who owns anything else these days?
- something to sip on - my drink of choice is vita coconut water
- oil blotting sheets - not for everyone, but a must for me
- a pen - never know when you might need
- bobby pins - your hair could turn on you at any moment and its essential that you can tame it
- obviously keys - no explanation necessary
- mints! duh, gum is so overrated
Last question of the day.. When am I going to get married?
Seems like its wedding season in the magazines and I want in. Of course this would require me to meet Prince Charming and I cant see that happening anytime soon. I am going to my best friends sisters wedding in less than a week and I cannot contain my excitement. I have to say weddings are probably that happiest event anyone could attend (besides going to Disneyland of course). I am beyond excited for Alex and Scott! They are the cutest couple and it means so much to be able to share the most important day of their lives with them.
Problem not solved: Honestly take your time in finding that special someone because you have got to want to look at him for the rest of your life...
Movies of the Week
So I am super excited to say that I have seen three movies this week! I love going to see a movie. The atmosphere, the treats, laughing with strangers you don't know. Anyways I saw The Drive which was legit. Seriously so violent and bloody, but it was awesome. I sound like a ten year old boy who hasn't hit puberty. Thats besides the point because this movie was definitely made for a much older crowd. If you like twisted and extremely awkward movies go see this one.
Next on the list is 50/50 which was another winner. I cried a few times and thats when you know a movie is golden. Another movie with far too many romantic awkward encounters, but hey sounds like my life so I'll take it. The movie was funny yet sad at the same time. Hard to do.
Lastly we have What's Your Number? = total plus in my book. Minus the fact that we got carded when buying the tickets, which means we all looked like we were 17 dare I say younger. Can you say awkward? I sure did. Back to the movie...
I was laughing out loud the whole time and let me tell you that is a difficult task to accomplish given how funny I am. Anna Farris has got it goin on. She has kept us laughing from fighting with a kitty cat in Scary Movie to now falling on her face in a tacky bridesmaid dress.
Go see it if you haven't!
And might I add the beginning scene to the movie is legit the exact same as the one in Bridesmaids. Coincidence? I think not. Both movies are pure genius.
By the way... What's your number eh? Just kidding I don't want to know. It's probably lower than mine which would be embarrassing. Just kidding, again. We all know what yours is...

Current Obsessions..
Stick on nails. Ok maybe it's not new, but I just found out about them and they are genius!
They come in a bunch of different designs! I die for gold so I picked this one:
http://www.sallyhansen.com/products/nails/nail-color/salon-effects-real-nail-polish-strips
Next on the list is sushi.. It's semi-healthy and tastes delicious, especially if you add a bit of spice. My favorite is any kind of fire roll with eel sauce and tempura. Perfect meal.
Obviously cupcakes is always an obsession, but my roommate works at Sprinkles meaning I get to eat them all day everyday. Absolute favorite is Cinnamon Sugar. Put it in the microwave for a few seconds and its orgasmic. www.sprinkles.com
Can you tell that most of my obsessions have to do with food? Last on the list is wheat grass shots. They actually don't taste that bad and are super healthy! There are 20 servings of broccoli in one shot. Get them at Jamba Juice for just a couple bucks.
Hipstamatic prints are clearly a favorite as well... I feel so artsy when I take them!
That's all I got for now! :)

Oh Steve, you had us at hello.
The man behind the magic has passed away. No, I am not speaking of Walt Disney, but the one and only Steve Jobs. Quite a sad day in the world of technology although I am pretty sure that Apple will be just fine. In fact I think that the company should give away free computers or iPhones in honor of his death. I mean I don't know about you, but it makes perfect sense to me.

Fall Favorites
Revamped.
Just updated my profile! What do you think? Obviously I'm super stoked about it. Spent a whole class period doing it and I did not hear a single thing my professor said.
